Electronica 2018 was by far the best trade show we have ever been to with plenty of great opportunities. At this year's show, BPM Microsystems launched the latest update to their flagship product — the 4910. It’s faster and even easier to operate than any of the previous systems with accelerated on-the-fly alignment, optimized motion, and the most autonomous “Teach” yet. Also on stand was the 3910 and our “Beat the Teach” Challenge, where attendees were invited to see if they could teach the critical z-axis without touching the device.
And the winner is...
Congratulations go to the worthy winner of our "Beat the Teach" competition, Richard Steinhäuser of Creative Chips in Dresden, Germany. He will be receiving an Apple iPad. On being presented with the good news, he said: I am glad that I have won, but lacking the fancy sensors I admit that I was lucky. I am looking forward to the next challenge with Adaptsys.
New software for Re-flex II
This year, we introduced a new-look interface to our Re-flex II Carrier Tape Forming System. The software modification enhances the overall usability of the Re-flex II and provides the end user with an intuitive and effective tool to manufacture both standard and custom pockets, up to 30mm in depth, either directly into the device placement process (On-Demand) or straight to reel.
