World First
Adaptsys will show the V-Tek’s automated taping system TM-400. The TM-400 is designed to be a flexible taping system capable of handling different input media’s, including Tube, Bowl, Tray and an OEM version for integration in to other processes. This automated system is capable of reliable, consistent taping of parts for low to medium volumes.
Other highlights
On the booth will also include the latest automated programming systems from BPM Microsystems which will be demonstrated showing their newest feature releases for component handling and vision inspection.
In addition the BPM-2800ISP In-System Programmer will also be displayed, boasting incomparable speed of programming from the Vector Engine processor used with all of BPM’s 8th Generation programmers; if you need to program high capacity flash fast then this is the ultimate solution.
Re-flex ~ on-Demand Tape
Last but not least for world introductions is Adaptsys’ own tape forming system Re-flex ~ On-Demand Tape. This year, being demonstrated for the first time attached to a taping machine, thus providing tape forming in-stream to the taping of the components. This patented process has proved to be the most cost effective solution to reduce carrier tape cost but also improve the productivity of the taping machine that the Re-flex attaches to. This is achieved in a number of ways, the biggest factor being reducing tape changeover times from every 100m to every 1000m, for example. To show this the Re-flex will be operated in conjunction with a TM-50 taping system from V-Tek.
